Vanquish Tri 2.0 HD triathlon bike

Okay, changed the wheels to a new name to avoid any of the previous thread confusion on the HED wheels.
And a new thread for people with fit question, etc.

The 3 base colors are also life now

The website is live as well, www.vanquish-bikes.com

Wow! looks great! Congratulations Jeroen!!

My only critique is that the colors on the website are really dark and hard to see. The bikes look beautiful! Can’t wait to see one on the road.

Thanks, yes, the render pictures come out a bit on the dark side. Soon I will have the first ones and will take real pictures to show.

When do you expect to be in a position to take and fulfil orders?

Trying to convince myself that it’s sensible to buy a niche, brand new bike vs. P-series or similar. Any help you can give me appreciated!

Jeroen this thing looks SO good. If I was in the market for a bike right now I’d be all over it.

I’m very curious about your road bike. Is it a TT bike (non tri) or is it an aero road bike? Also is it going to take heavy influence from the tri bike or will it be UCI legal?

If I can swing a visit to the Netherlands would you have a bike available to view?

Yes, it is an aero road bike, we have been riding 2 of the over the summer to test all stuff. It is indeed very influenced by the tri bike in design features.
I will shoot some decent pictures and post them in a few days.

Any word on when these will be available @TRIPRO

Currently we are finalizing all the last details with the factory. Most likely first batch Feb/March.

Have you considered adding threads to the seat post so that a bottle cage can be attached, like on a Canyon Speedmax?
Will the frame also be available to buy as a frameset, and if so, what will the estimated price be (EU)?

We did, but in the end decided not to as it is just not the best location. It is too low. And the seatpost already allows a mount system like as with the cervelo p-series.

Frame pricing will be available soon.

Alright, makes sense!

On the Product testing page the “tunnel” at the seat stays is missing:

When I look closely at the other pictures, it seems like it is a separate part. Is that true? Is it removable?

I kinda really like the look without the tunnel

Yes, correct. You can use it with or without that part.

Wouldn’t it considered a fairing then (if not an integral part of the frame)?

A draftbox like used on a quintana roo could in that case also considered being a fairing or the specialized shiv hydration tank on the rear So no, we don’t think it will be an issue at all.

That said, these part channels air to cool the tire and prevent blowouts. Especially required if using hookless. We designed these especially for @E_DUB so our bike will be hookless compatible:-).

So they are a structural part of the bike when you use zipp, cadex or enve wheels.

Probably a cause for ankle blow-outs…you have tested this with respect to Crank Q-factor and foot/ankle position as you come around the 10’ O’clock position…I’m not sure a buttressed, lowered seat stay gets you anything but a busted heel.

Thanks for the troll and I hope you didnt actually create an air channel on your frame to prevent blowouts.
