Here we go - now let’s see if she drops her or not.
Kick it down Knibb’s
yup exactly . at 8 minute down If I were Kat/Phillip/lovseth I’d still feel reasonably okay. like its doable from one of us at least
And Taylor Knibb executes a perfect Maurten Move to take the lead.
I find it kinda fun that someone has passed LCB on the bike. Like, seriously, when was the last time that happened?
It would be the death of her to stick with Knibb
LCB spent a lot in the swim
Loevseth has caught time up (47secs) on that run down from Hawi on both LCB and Knibb.
Matthews sending it on the front, catching Lawrence.
Daniela.
I think Lucy will back her run here. 2:57 with that calf tear, I feel like she can easily better that
And Philipp/Kat/Perterer lost another 30 seconds. Now 3.30 behind Solveig. Getting a bit too much now…
Keep telling yourself that one. She swam slower than 2 years ago and we know how that race worked out.
So, like 5-6 years ago?
She’s sticking with her
For sure, but I think she also thinks she better be within 4 minutes at T2, so working extra hard to hold her on the downhill section where power is not such a big factor. Once the course goes up she will probably start to bleed time more quickly, and then it is management to the bike end
Kawaihae hill could be telling here….
This is a good take, she was in a big pack that time. The crazy part is dropping out on the bike is neutralizing her weapon on the run. I have zero doubt that if she ran she’d be mowing people down. Never get to do that if you drop out on the bike.
There’s a high probably that a lot of people will melt down on the run
You know what they say, you can’t win in the swim, but…..
As I said elsewhere, the benchmark for Philipp and Matthews is Charles-Barclay. They will be content with 5 behind Loevseth (who I still think is going to pay).
Calm down
