How do you embed a youtube video in a forum post?

I apologize in advance for the remedial nature of this question. Every forum seems to do it differently. Some treat the youtube video the same as jpg or gif file that’s hosted on another website. Some have the - insert url - formatting. I’ve tried a variety of approaches on this forum without success.

1.) Go to YouTube.com
2.) Find the video you wish to share.
3.) Hit the “share” button to get the “youtu.be” link format
4.) Include that link in your post here, like I do below.
