Anyone live near Bangor, Maine?

My brother is up there and not in a good situation. Story is long and convoluted.

The gist of it is he moved up to Maine with his ex-wife to help with his kids (HS aged). It didn’t work out and he is now being foced out by the end of the month. He doesn’t have a car, doesn’t have much money and is looking to live in a tent on a property (with permission). However, this is not something sustainable long term. He rented a storage unit, but can’t rent a truck since he has no credit cards.

I am looking for help with a few things:
-any resources he could tap into for potential homeless help.
-any chance anyone has a bike (hybrid or mountain) that they are willing to sell cheap? I’d likely pay for it.

The situation is pretty bad and my brother needs help. I am down in VA area and not sure what or how I can help.

Hey - it’s been a while since you posted and maybe (hopefully?) circumstances have improved, but if not, perhaps there’s a way I can help. I’m in southern Maine, about two hours south of Bangor, so I can’t have him over for dinner, but let me know what he needs at this time and I can investigate some local resources.

Thanks. He is currently living in his car on a small tree farm he was working on. It was supposed to close this week or next. He’s unsure of what to do, but I am hoping he can find an apartment or room to rent in the near future. He needs to be ready for the winter. He is also debating moving back home, but not sure.
