Weekly Accountability Thread: "November 31st" (it can't be December!) edition

Thursday’s kayak session was a brute. 37 deg C and 50 to 60 kph wind gusts. Usually I do some up tempo efforts eg 3-4 x 3-4 mins but conditions were too tough. Just head down and grind it out. Nasty bushfire 5 kms from home but quickly under control with 37 trucks and 2 choppers on scene.

Babysitting duties yesterday but got out at 4.30 pm for an hour mountain bike ride. Despite the 37 deg and 40 kph winds I had my best ride in ages. Really felt in the groove.

This morning cooler, thunderstorms. A bit of hilly hiking then 16 x 150m steep hills and some strides in an hour run. Feeling stronger, positive frame of mind.

Cool picture!

Yesterday: cals in range, walking, home PT, academic work done.

Viola/cello not done (couldn’t find the music until after midnight), and errand only partially completed. (Waiting on a reply.)

For today: switching the plan for today from diet to eating day, so same plan as yesterday, except possibly no errand. Tomorrow (concert day) will be the same.

This seems to work for me. Only missed on cello today.

Going for the same tomorrow, although might be difficult with 3-1/2 to 5 hrs for rehearsals and concert.

A nice lazy Sunday.

Morning gardening then out on the mountain bike for 70 mins, supposed to be just an hour but did a bit extra as I was feeling fast and strong.

concert day is today I think, @madMike100 ?

6/6 journal

in terms of not using the unheathy skill, 2 days went really well and the other four were a mix of used it but less. I’m not happy w how the week has gone so far overall but looking forward to reporting 2 days in a row w/o the skill tomorrow.

Met my last goal for the year today, 19:42 in the local 5K. We had perfect running conditions, a fast course and minimal traffic at the front of the race. I settled in and chased Santa Clause and chased a woman in a pasta hat to make sure I kept working. I couldn’t be happier with how the race went. And we got beanies rather than tee shirts, which is great swag wise. My girlfriend had a great off the couch race too.

I also, got the XC bike out of the garage yesterday for an easy spin. The salt means the road bikes won’t see pavement for a while.

Yep, concert was yesterday. (It’s early Monday.) Missed all goals except the concerts (I ended up playing in all 3 orchestras rather than the expected 2), but

reasonable eating day (got almost nothing to eat after playing over 4 hours :frowning: , but probably a good thing), and that much playing (esp. cello) is good exercise. A little academics as well.
