Perfect marketing to generate new clients under the guise of increasing female participation in the sport.

Call me a cynic

But if they said, we will buy 500 entrance fees to 70.3 races and give them to women who have never raced a 70.3 if they sign-up (and pay) for 6 months of coaching with us? That would essentially accomplish the goal of growing women in (longer distance) triathlon directly. Plus they’d have those women signed on as paid subscribers already, rather than 12 months of moochers they’ll hope to convert someday.

Yep,that would have been a great program.

Putting 500 women in 70.3’s,who have never raced a 70.3 or Ironman before would gave fitted exactly with what they say they are trying to do.Six months free coaching over the northern winter and then if they are hooked and want to continue,all good.

Again,the cynic in me wants to know, how many women,who already have a coach are going to apply for a free year of coaching now that the 2025 season is over. Maybe there is a clause in the application I dont know.

So the 500 coaching slots were given out in 12hrs and they have added another 500. Thats a whole lot if free coaching. Epic!

It is funny, one if the comments was about standing up to the old white men who are apparently the cause of low female numbers.

It was more of a registry with More Info Coming Next Month. My wife filled out the form, but that is all you can do at this point. She has not committed to anything.

i would assume that costs a lot less than sponsoring ironmam … so they are using iornmam sponsorship budget for this .
