SO everything playing out as expected, Taylor will make her play for the front, probably blow up a couple trying to hang on, and Kat has her long day ahead of her. No one is out of it yet, it could end up being a brutal day or an all time fast course. Hard to say but if it rains and cools things down it helps different athletes. If it gets hot and all that water turns to steam, well a whole new group loves that.

Yeah I suspect she thought she’d have time on her out of the swim to be able to take that time to do. I doubt she expect to be out of the water with her.
Any aero critiques of these positions? I feel like Lucy looks really dialed on the bike. Laura looks really upright, but she’s always looked like that

Bad for Kat. She lost the feet of the group she wanted to be in and fell back to Laura’s group. Though a good swim for Laura to stay with that group as well
In many other sports the athletes have their names in the back of their shirts
Would not be a bad idea for the same thing for triathletes ?

Kat was in the group she was supposed to be as I said it’s not a race of 6 people …
Unless there was a 5 min group she had no chance to be a group up.

Ya I would say bad swim for Kat, good for Laura, and normal for Lucy and 2nd pack. Sodaro up there is a surprise, looks like she might have triggered a light in front of her? Now she just has to get to T2 in that same group with her run and she is once again a contender..
